' Official Welcome To Our New Parish Priest 'A warm welcome was accorded to the new Parish Priest of Delanthabettu Parish, Rev.Fr Richard Dsouza. On Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. A good number of Parishioners assembled at the entrance of the church to receive him with great joy and affection. The official welcome was led by Rev. Fr Sunil praveen Pinto, Parish Priest Delanthabettu who honored the new Parish Priest with a garland. Mrs Selina Dsouza, Vice President of the Parish Pastoral Council, who presented floral bouquets as a gesture of warm welcome. Seated on the dias were Rev.Fr.Austin, parish priest of Surathkal, Rev.Fr.Sunil Praveen Pinto outgoing Parish priest of Delanthabettu. Rev.Fr.Richard Dsouza, New Parish Priest of Delanthabettu, A handing over was led by Rev.Fr Ivan Micahel Rodriguez, the vicar of vitla parish who represented the bishop of Mangalore. ' Farewell programme to honour Parish Priest Rev.Fr Sunil Praveen Pinto '
The Parishioners of St Paul Church, Delanthabettu organized a heartfelt farewell programme to honour Parish Priest Rev. Fr Sunil Praveen Pinto Sunday, May 25, 2025. The 7:30 a.m. Holy Mass was solemnly celebrated by Rev. Fr Sunil Praveen Pinto as the main celebrant, with Rev. Fr Peter Serravo as concelebrants. Following the Mass, a formal farewell ceremony was held in the presence of parishioners and members of the Parish Pastoral Council. The gathering expressed deep gratitude and appreciation for Fr Sunil dedicated and selfless service to the Parish community.Dignitaries present on the dais included Rev. Fr Sunil praveen Pinto, Rev. Fr Peter Serravo, Mrs.Selin Dsouza - Vice President of the Parish Pastoral Council, Mr Robert Dsouza - Secretary ,Parish commission co ordinator Albert Felix Dsouza.Fr.Sunil then addressed the parishioners. He spoke of all those things that had touched his heart in Delanthabettu parish. Thanked all parishioners for their heartfelt love and support over the past 6 years.Forgetting none in his farewell speech, he thanked everyone and promised to keep every parishioner in his prayers. Although emotional,...of every parishioners. The Parish patrol council members felicitated Fr Sunil praveen Pinto on this occasion. Parishioners came forward to thank and wish him good luck. ' Parish Picnic '
A picnic was organized for the parishioners to King of Kings ,Brahmavar, Udupi on 19th of May, 2025. 60 peoples along with the Parish Priest set out for the picnic at 7:00 in the morning. After reaching the venue the parish priest were taken to the island on a boat where they engaged themselves in a lot of activities and fun games. It was indeed a refreshing trip where the parishioners took a day's off from all their regular chores and spent time relaxing. The fun was not limited to the island alone, rather the parishioners had a great time singing, dancing and playing games on the bus as well. Indeed this outing proved to be a New experience to the parishioners.See more
' Firgaz Divas '
On the joyous occasion of Parish Day, the parishioners of St Paul Church Delanthabettu, gathered together as one big family on 4 May, 2025. The parishioners waited for the ' Firgaz Divas with great anticipation and began preparations accordingly. The celebration began with the Holy Mass at 5.00 pm . The main celebrant for the occasion was Rev. Fr. Bajil vas , Parish priest Vorkady. The Parish Priest Rev. Fr.Sunil Praveen Pinto concelebrated the mass.
The stage programme began after the short break. Each wards actively participated in various programmes like Dance,skit.A meal was prepared by the parishioners and served all.Indeed it was a joyful and uniting day for Delanthabettu parishioners. See more
' First Holy Communion '
Two students of our parish received the first Holy Communion on 27th April 2025 during the mass at 7:30. Rev Fr Sunil praveen Pinto , Parish Priest celebrated the mass and preached the homily and highlighted the importance of Eucharist.See more
' The Easter '
The Easter celebration at St Paul Church Delanthabettu commenced at 7:00 pm. with the blessing of the new fire, officiated by Parish priest Rev. Fr Sunil praveen pinto.The solemn Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Parish priest Fr Sunil praveen Pinto. Along with Fr.Peter Serrao as the main celebrant. The Easter Vigil consisted of four key parts: the Service of Light with the blessing of the Paschal Candle, the Liturgy of the Word, the Blessing of the New Holy Water and Baptismal Rites, followed by the Solemn Eucharistic Celebration. As the celebration came to an end, the faithful exchanged Easter greetings with one another and returned home carrying the peace and joy of the Risen Lord in their hearts.See more
' Good Friday '
The Good Friday service at St. Paul Church, Delanthabettu commenced at 4:00pm. Rev. Fr Sunil praveen Pinto, Fr.peter Serrao ,was the main celebrant.The entire passion of christ was sung with deep devotion by Fr.Sunil Praveen Pinto, Clavon Dsouza, Avil Dsouza creating a prayerful and reflective atmosphere throughout the service.
' Faithful Reflect during Good Friday way of the cross at Delanthabettu Church '
On April 18th 2025, Good Friday was prayerfully observed at St.Paul Church, Delanthabettu with the way of cross held at 9:00 am, led by the Parish Priest Rev.Fr. Sunil praveen pinto. The Church choir enriched the service with soulful hymns, guiding the faithful into a spirit of reflection and devotion throughout the way of the cross.
' Maundy Thursday '
Maundy Thursday was celebrated at St.Paul Church,Delanthabettu on April 17, 2025. Parish Priest Fr.Sunil Praveen Pinto, celebrated the Holy Eucharist at 5:30 p.m. and preached a homily on the institution of the Eucharist, priesthood, and the call to service. He led the washing of the feet ceremony.
' Palm Sunday '
The celebration of the Palm Sunday liturgy began in the morning at 8:00 am. The faithful gathered near the Mary grotto of Mother Mary and Rev Fr Sunil praveen Pinto blessed the palm. The Mass was celebrated by Parish priest, in his homily gave an call to detach from the attachment that we have in our life.
' Taize Prayer '
A prayerful contemplation through song prayer and music was conducted by ICYM Delanthabettu on 16 th of March for all the parishioners. On the occasion of lent it was a call to everyone to spend some time with God.The service commenced at 6.45 pm as everyone gathered in the church.
' Women's Day '
Stree sangatan, in honour of all the Women of the Parish, celebrated Women's Day on 9th March 2025. The celebration began with the Holy Eucharist at 7:30 am and thanked God for the gift of all the women in our life and their services as mothers, wives, sisters and daughters.
' The Annual Catechism Day '
On Sunday, March 9, The Annual Catechism Day was celebrated at St. Paul Church Delanthabettu. Rev. Fr.Sunil Praveen Pinto presided over the Eucharistic celebration at 7:30 am. The parish children led the liturgy, while the children’s choir enriched the ceremony with its solemn and uplifting melodies. The programme was beautifully hosted by teacher Sushmitha Dsouza.

A picnic was organised for the catechism teachers and student's to Manasa water park, Pilikula On the 23rd of February 2025.20 students and 5 teachers Along with the parish priest Fr.Sunil praveen pinto set out for the picnic at 8 am in the morning . And also visited to St Lawerence church, Bondel.
